  PERSONALITY.   Red's choice of words are fairly cumbersome; he's a particularly quiet individual, and it's truly a mystery what's rattling on in that head of his, behind warm, worn eyes. He never deliberately seeks out attention or groups, preferring to stay out of the spotlight in favor of operating in the shadows. His interests are exacerbated by an interest for tea and a distaste for injustice. Where trouble lies, Red won't be too far behind, whether it be slaying a rogue sekiseigumi or recuperating a poor merchant's stray cabbage cart; he'll be there.

  BACKGROUND.   Red was born to Yui and Aki in the Doman Enclave 35 cycles ago, and lived there for a majority of his childhood until Imperial rule struck down the prosperous, thriving city. His parents would be sliced and in turn Red would be left on his own; in the flames, he would come out with half his body burnt crisp. These scars are still prominent across his figure today.Rescued by Doman freedom fighters, Red was recovered and brought into Kugane for safety. It was here that he would be reunited with his estranged Uncle Sakaki. Sakaki, a previous Sekiseigumi officer and current mob boss, trained his nephew in the blade of the Samurai, more specifically the art of Tennen Rishin-ryu. Upon graduating from his uncle's teachings, he would be rewarded with a tattoo sleeve by the same artist that delivered unto Sakaki his own. Upon Red's breast, a panther; known for their resilience and thirst for battle.And thirsty for battle Red was. Among his uncle's life lessons on patience, kindness and open-mindedness, was a displeasure with the general authority surrounding him. From the Imperial army still reigning terror on his home and the corrupt Sekiseigumi trampling on Hingashi's beloved port city, somebody had to do something.Anybody.So Red would pick up arms, a lone hero patroling the rooftops of Kugane as an overseeing eye, tearing to shreds any discord he'd bear witness to. Many officers have been struck down by his blade, but never murdered; it interferes with his moral compass. Still, the Kugane Watcher strikes fear into those that bear witness to his swordsmanship, vowing never to act out of turn again lest they face his wrath once more.In the mean time, he acts as a bouncer and bartender at the Everlight lounge, as stoic--and handsome--as ever.

He is softspoken, and most of his reactions can be interpreted through body language and facial expressions. His eyes are gentle but stern and often he is on guard. Red doesn't talk much about himself unless prompted to, and even then what he shares is limited. From his uncle's teachings, he often presents a veil of respect toward those who require it. Red enjoys snow, swordplay, tea, and snacks.
